In 2009 more than 270 scientific, technical and administrative employees (inclusive university chairs) as well as a numer of research students and practical workers were employed at Fraunhofer IBMT. Additionally 55 guest scientists worked at IBMT for a longer period.
Budget and Investments
The operating budget including investments in 2009 is calculated in a preview to 17 Mio Euro.
Contract Research with Industry
Project work is the focus of the research activities of IBMT. IBMT aimed in 2009 to reduce the very high number of projects in the years 2000 until 2002 towards larger projects, keeping the number of projects high and the research spectrum broad. With more than 370 projects this goal was achieved while increasing the total project volume. 122 of these projects came from industrial customers.
